Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nick grew up playing hockey and golf. Prior to college, he found ultimate as a freshman in high school, but shortly after had to focus on other sports for the rest of his high school years. Nick found ultimate frisbee again as a freshman in college with the Fighting Gobies of Case Western Reserve University, who he would later go on to captain for 3 years. Upon graduation, Nick moved to Riverside, IL where he lives with his wife and two dogs, working as a Biomechanics Engineer for Life Fitness.
