Dallas looks for get-back win as San Diego comes to town

July 22, 2021

The Dallas Roughnecks will play their penultimate home game of the season this Friday, July 23 at 7:30pm at John Paul II High School. They’ll take on the San Diego Growlers for the second time this year.
The first meeting of the season between Roughnecks and Growlers was played the final week of June, where the Growlers were able to come away with a narrow 21-20 win at home. The Week 4 Game of the Week was a rematch of the 2019 semifinals; the Roughnecks eliminated the Growlers two years ago in San Jose to advance to the 2019 Championship Game.
Now past the halfway point of the season and in unfamiliar territory, the Roughnecks currently sit at 5-4 in third place in the West Division and are at risk to miss the playoffs for the first time in franchise history. Friday’s game is a must-win, as Dallas will likely need to win out in order to hold off Austin, Seattle, and San Jose for the second of two playoff spots. The Growlers currently sit in first place with a 5-1 record.

Tickets for this game are available at the official team store.
