WASHINGTON, D.C. – The DC Breeze (2-1) head up beyond the northern border this week to face division rivals, the Toronto Rush in hopes of restarting another win streak. The Rush sit right below the Breeze in the Eastern Division standings starting off this season at 1-2.

The Breeze are searching for a win after a tough loss to the undefeated New York Empire in Week 3. Historically, the Breeze’s offense has been one of the top offenses in the league. This year is no different with new additions Benjamin Oort, Andrew Roy, and Cole Jurek stepping into the fray and thriving in their new roles. But, at times this year, the offense has sputtered, forcing the D-line to answer the call, led by former AUDL MVP Rowan McDonnell. For the most part, they've answered, but it is definitely an area DC wants to improve going forward.

This game should be a big opportunity for DC to pick up an important road win. Toronto is the Breeze's first opponent that did not make the postseason last year. This season, the Rush have really struggled to maintain possession of the disc, almost doubling the amount of turnovers they have committed compared to their opponents, racking up a total of 72 turnovers in three games. If the Breeze can take advantage of the Rush’s turnover rate, they should have no problem accumulating the goals to get a significant margin ahead of the Rush.

The first pull for this week's game is Saturday, May 20th, at 6:00 p.m. EDT at the University of Toronto’s Varsity Stadium. Catch the game on AUDL.tv.
